Castleton State College is a small, public liberal arts college. Its 1,900 full-time and 200 part-time undergraduate students pursue degrees across 30 undergraduate programs or a master’s degree in education. The faculty is focused on helping students to strive to achieve both intellectual and personal growth through a challenging curriculum, personalized attention, and learning in and outside the classroom. Graduates leave Castleton State College fully prepared for meaningful careers and environmentally responsible citizenship.

Faculty are focused on helping students achieve their full potential, and work closely with each student throughout their time at Castleton. Nearly all faculty members hold terminal degrees in their chosen field.

Despite being a small school, Castleton offers many activities for students, with 30 clubs and 20 varsity sports, across the 165-acre campus.
