The College of Saint Rose is a private, independent college that was founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet. Undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education students pursue progressive academic programs with a strong focus on liberal arts. In this open environment, students are encouraged to participate in intellectual discourse with peers and teachers. Students can a richly diverse set of skills as they participate in challenging majors, study abroad opportunities,and hands-on research and internships.
The College of Saint Rose includes four schools: the School of Arts and Humanities, the School of Mathematics and Sciences, the School of Business, and the School of Education.
Students can choose from a variety of housing options, including large dorms as well as Victorian-era homes in the surrounding neighborhood. The college is also home to the Sustainability House, which was developed as part of the college's mission to reduce its carbon footprint. Saint Rose competes in 18 sports in the NCAA Division II. This includes men's and women's cross country, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, women's volleyball, and more.
