Sam Houston State University

Sam Houston State University is one of the oldest public universities in Texas. This selective institution offers 79 bachelor’s degree programs, 54 master’s degree programs, and five doctoral programs, including highly regarded programs in Business, Fine Arts, Education, Math, and a top ranking Criminal Justice. The school also offers the state’s only degree in PGA Golf Management.

 

Considered a “doctoral research university” by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education, Sam Houston State University places in the top 10 of all U.S. colleges and universities. The Wall Street Journal also recognized the school with an “Innovative Technology” award for its funded research programs.
