Moravian College

Moravian College is a private liberal arts college that fosters students learning and leadership capabilities. Founded in 1742 by John Amos Comenius, a Moravian bishop whose humanistic ideals helped shape modern education, the school is one of the oldest in the country. The curriculum is based on the ideals that learning should be available to all, and that teaching should be done in harmony with human nature.

 The college is true to its word, enrolling students from a wide range of socioeconomic, religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, offering highly personalized learning to all. Faculty members work closely with each student to help them achieve their highest individual and professional aspirations. In addition to offering undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs, the college encompasses the Moravian Theological Seminary, which prepares men and women for roles in Christian leadership.

 

Moravian College offers 50+ majors, as well as the opportunity to sign up for multidisciplinary courses in complementary areas of study. Students are also encouraged to see their coursework through a broad perspective as they pursue their degree. To prepare students for today’s workforce, Moravian helps students expand their field of knowledge across a wide spectrum of areas. This will better prepare them to take advantage of more career opportunities or to switch careers at a later date as desired.


Courses are offered at four campuses. The school offers many cultural activities as well as Division III sports teams.
